DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR DUTIES

Under close supervision of a Building Services Coordinator 3 or other supervisory officer in a state department, performs the work involved in scheduling, coordinating, follow-up, and expediting the alterations, renovations, repairs, and maintenance of office space in the central office buildings and field offices throughout the state; does related work as required. This position has a critical role in the operation of the Department's Administrative Services which oversees the Mail room, telecom system, State Vehicles, Parking, Printing, and the Department's Record Management Program. The position provides Admin services for the department which includes being a liaison between the department, property management and vendors to facilitate the maintenance and resolving of facility, cleaning, health and safety issues within the central office and field offices. Working with key personnel throughout DCA assisting all the divisions within DCA for their Admin Service’s needs. Working with our various databases to document orders for printing, paper supply, State vehicles and records management. Creating, maintaining and updating various directories and reports. This position provides coverage for mailroom and as departmental vehicle coordinator including the delivery, receiving, sorting, distributing, and preparing of a large volume of mail. Assist the divisions in preparing and processing the Space Planning Reports for the field offices. Assist in getting quotes then creating and processing purchase orders for Administrative Services.
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience

Two (2) years of experience in property maintenance, including scheduling, coordinating, and expediting alteration, renovation, repair work, and vendor management.
License

Appointees will be required to possess a valid driver's license only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
