DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR DUTIES

Positions are part-time for a maximum of 944 hours. In the Division of Codes and Standards, Bureau of State and Local Code Inspections, Carnival-Amusement Ride Inspections Unit, performs inspections on carnival-amusement rides; does other related duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience

Seven (7) years of experience in amusement ride development, construction, or inspection.
License
*

Applicants will be required to possess a valid Industrial and Commercial Specialist (ICS) construction code enforcement license in amusement ride inspection issued by the Department of Community Affairs. NOTE: Appointees must continue to complete the continuing education requirements to maintain their ICS license. Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
